STELLA TSANG
Music Director
Ms Stella Tsang is a well known classical music composer and educator in Hong Kong. Ms Tsang majored in musical composition under the tutelage of Mr. Law Wing Fai, Professor Clarence Mak, and Professor Timothy Salter. Her major composition “Sublimation” was performed in Carnegie Hall in New York with great acclaim. Her commissioned work “The Third Day” for Wind Band received rave reviews. Ms Tsang studied conducting with Alan Cumberland and Miss Wing-Sie Yip. She participated in master classes of world renowned conductors Pierre Boulez and Bernard Haitink in London, and Michail Jurowski in Lithuania. She was a guest conductor of the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra and Kharkov Philharmonic Orchestra in Ukraine. Ms Tsang is an accomplished teacher in music. Her students have won numerous awards in major competitions. Ms Tsang hopes to use the facility of the HKIYAS to educate and nurture aspiring young music students.
