Mr. Fan Ting is one of the most sought-after violinists and teachers in Hong Kong.  Mr. Fan graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music and the Juilliard School, under world famous violin teachers such as Brodsky, Fuchs, Fujiwara and Galamian.  He has made frequent appearances as a soloist with the Hong Kong Philharmonic, been "Artist-in Residence" for Radio Television Hong Kong and has held a series of master classes at the Hong Kong Arts Centre.  He has toured extensively as a recitalist in north-eastern America with the acclaimed pianist Gary Hammond, making their successful debut recital at the Lincoln Centre in 1987. Since 1989, Mr. Fan has performed with the Canzone Trio in New York, Taiwan, Japan and Canada.  Now a teacher in the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, he would also like to use the facility of HKIYAS to educate and nurture aspiring young music students.
